Despite continuing cost-containment efforts by HR, absenteeism in Australian organisations is a critical, costly, but often neglected area of company operations.
"The trouble is non attendance thrives on neglect. Many companies are not managing this area, and it's creating major issues not only in terms of productivity but limiting the effectiveness of wellness initiatives. Any company that's serious about looking after its staff needs to understand what the absence rate is," said Martin Cross, CEO of Voicescape Australia.
